PROPOSED PROJECTS
On November 3, 2026, Parchment School District voters will consider a $41 million bond proposal.
The proposed plan consolidates the district's footprint by closing the middle school and transitioning to dedicated grade-level centers with age-appropriate learning environments.
If approved, funds will transition Northwood to a K–2 building, expand North Elementary to a 3–6 configuration, and construct a new, separate 7th- and 8th-grade wing at the high school.
This proposal represents an expected
3.95 mill tax increase over the current levy.

Key 2026 Bond Elements
Streamlined Spending Through Consolidation
Rather than continuing to spend funds on the aging Middle School facility, the district is proactively choosing to sell or demolish the building. This will eliminate unnecessary operational overhead and redirect those resources directly into the remaining facilities. A new Junior High wing will be added to Parchment High School for 7th and 8th grade students.
Dedicated Elementary Centers
The bond proposes transitioning Northwood Elementary to a dedicated K-2 building and expanding North Elementary into a 3-6 intermediate school. This will allow teachers to collaborate across each grade level and create age-specific learning environments. Each school will receive new spaces, including a new competition gym at North Elementary.
Modern 7/8 Junior High
The bond proposes moving 7th- and 8th-graders into a brand-new wing at Parchment High School. The new wing will feature a dedicated entrance, new classrooms, a science lab, multipurpose spaces, cafeteria, and additional support spaces.
Lower Operating Costs
Remaining bond funds will be used across the district to support long-term efficiency in district facilities. This includes roofing repairs, playground upgrades, building access controls, boiler and electrical systems. A full list of proposed projects at each school can be found below.

Early Learning Center

PROJECT COST: $306,801
Transform the existing Central Elementary into the new Parchment Early Learning Center (PELC) and administration offices.

Parchment Middle School
SELL or DEMOLISH
The Parchment Middle School is one of our district's most expensive buildings to maintain and under the proposed plan, it would no longer be necessary. Instead, the November bond proposal would include a brand-new junior high wing at our high school for our 7th and 8th graders.
The district will have two choices for the existing middle school building: sell it or demolish it. The projected cost for demolition and site restoration is $420,949. If approved, this cost would be covered as part of the 2026 Bond Proposal. Any proceeds from the sale of the Middle School would be used to address facility needs in other buildings.
